Our Story
Reaching out for therapy takes courage. At MAP Mental Health Associates, we honor that courage by meeting every client with compassion, understanding, and genuine care.
Our practice was built on the belief that healing begins when you feel truly seen and heard. We know that behind every appointment request is a real person—someone carrying their own experiences, challenges, and hopes for change. That’s why we take the time to understand your story, not just your symptoms.
At MAP, therapy is a collaborative relationship, not a checklist. Your voice matters here. Our therapists work alongside you, creating a safe and supportive space where trust can grow and meaningful change can begin. We believe that when care is personal, respectful, and human, progress feels possible.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, you don’t have to do it alone. At MAP Mental Health Associates, you’re more than a client—you’re a person, and your story matters.
Meet The Team

Tania Almeida, LCSW
As a licensed psychotherapist, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe exploring what’s weighing on you. I work with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds, including court-mandated clients, who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
At the heart of my work is a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel understood and supported. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness practices—among others—I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back and work toward a path forward that feels authentic, manageable, and hopeful.
